Karthik Krishnan has 10+ years experience in online media, and publishing with focus on strategy, business development, marketing, operations, and technology. He is currently the Director - Interactive Products at Reed Business Information (RBI) and is responsible for improving the financial performance and user responsiveness of Reed's online business. RBI is the b-to-b division of Reed Elsevier, the world leading publishers & information providers. Some of Reed's publications include Variety, Publishers Weekly, Broadcasting & Cable, Multichannel News, Interior Design, and Library Journal.

Prior to joining Reed, Karthik was a Principal at Agilone, a marketing analytics firm. He was responsible for building a relationship marketing practice aimed at maximizing profits by identifying opportunities, and implementing best practices across the customer lifecycle: Acquisition, Development, Retention and Service.  He also was a consultant at Rodale, publishers of healthy active living magazines such as Men's Health, Prevention, and Runner's World.

On the not-for-profit front, he is actively involved with the Bill Clinton Foundation - Urban Enterprise Initiative, which analyzes the impact of big retailers and demographic shifts on small businesses and provides strategic advice to small businesses in Harlem. Other initiatives he has worked on include - developing Harlem into a business and tourist destination, and Doubling agricultural production in India to make the country's dream of achieving double digit GDP growth a reality.

Karthik has an MBA from New York University - Stern School. He received the distinction "Stern Scholar" and was inducted to the "Beta Gamma Sigma" honor society. He has a Bachelors in Engineering from Coimbatore Institute of Technology and was conferred the "Student of the Year" and "Best Outgoing Student" awards.
