ClickZ Interactive Marketing Excellence Awards: The First Decade

This year we've decided to do something special to mark the first decade of interactive advertising and marketing.

We're hosting a Gala Dinner Celebration in New York on Oct. 24, 2007 at 6:00pm. Reservations are by invitation only. There will be a limited number of tables, each with no more than 10 guests per table. A cocktail reception precedes the sit-down dinner, during which three industry thought leaders will deliver short yet insightful presentations.

Dr. David Weinberger Co-author of The Cluetrain Manifesto and a Fellow at Harvard's prestigious Berkman Institute for Internet & Society.

Douglas Rushkoff Writer and host of two award-winning PBS Frontline documentaries, The Merchants of Cool and The Persuaders.

For the past several years, The ClickZ Marketing Excellence Awards recognize the technologies, companies, and campaigns that made a positive difference in the online marketing industry, innovations that moved the industry forward by providing brilliant examples of what can be accomplished.

This year, we want to recognize the 10 individuals, products, and companies whose achievements defined the past 10 years. This year's ClickZ Interactive Marketing Excellence Awards, therefore, will recognize the first decade of achievement in the industry.

As in previous years, ClickZ readers nominated award candidates online. Nominations were accepted from July 23, 2007, through the close of business EST on August 3, 2007. ClickZ's editors tabulated the votes and qualifications of nominees to determine finalists. The list of finalists is posted on ClickZ.com.

10 Awards will be conferred in 10 categories:

A panel of industry practitioners, including contributors to ClickZ.com and SearchEngineWatch.com, will determine the final winners. They will be announced at the gala dinner celebration and posted on ClickZ.com later that evening.
