Michael Pickrum is COO of BET Interactive, the online destination and interactive business unit of Black Entertainment Television (BET), subsidiary of Viacom, Inc. Mr. Pickrum is responsible for all operations and strategic initiatives for BET Interactive.

Prior to taking this position, Mr. Pickrum was VP of Business Development for BET Interactive, where he focused on different ways of creating value for the BET.com website. Mr. Pickrum has also been involved in virtually every business and operational decision affecting BET Interactive since its inception and launch in 2000.

Prior to joining BET Interactive, Mr. Pickrum worked as a strategy consultant for Mercer Management Consulting. As an associate, he focused on Internet strategy, supply chain and operations, and new product development.

He holds Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering and a Master's Degree in Engineering-Economic Systems from Stanford University. Mr. Pickrum also has an MBA in Finance and Entrepreneurial Management from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania.
